a quirky look at London Life

Tuesday Troubadour TG Elias

“Manchester based singer songwriter TG Elias is a prolific writer and performer with a distinctive, subtle and powerful voice. Drawing from gospel, country and blues, Elias pairs timeless melodies with candid tales and life stories, served up with a searing lyrical bite and an understated raw emotion. He has recently finished recording his third album, ‘Tyrone The Gun’ in Nashville due to be released early 2015.

Also performing on the night, Curst Sons.. love that name ..what a great way to  get the circulation going …get your bluegrass on, folks.

"A gallon of bluegrass, a quart of the blues, a pinch of rockabilly, and a dash of hell fire! The Curst Sons have been playing their powerful stripped back take on early American traditional music since 1998. Performing mainly original material with a few distinctive arrangements of traditional songs they have released five albums on their own Curst Mountain label, played venues ranging from tiny country pubs to festival main stages, and recorded two live sessions for Mark Lamarr on BBC Radio 2."

"Got everybody jumpin’…a great band"  JOHNNIE WALKER BBC RADIO 2

"Their biggest appeal is that they manage to stay true to American folk musics rich lineage, while throwing in enough
curve balls to p*ss off the folk puritanicals"   AMERICANA UK"

Their unique rugged version of American roots music has a delightfully dirt-road quality to it"  R2 MAGAZINE
