Summer Solstice: SOH @ Lusty Glaze cove in Cornwall
Fancy a Summer Solstice sundowner with Show of Hands on a Cornish beach to celebrate midsummer?
The perpetually popular West Country acoustic band have added an alfresco date to their summer diary at one of Cornwall’s hidden gems – Lusty Glaze cove, near Newquay, only accessible down a 133-step stairway.
On the longest day of the year (Friday, June 21) singer songwriter Steve Knightley, multi instrumental whizz Phil Beer and “babe with a bass” Miranda Sykes will head for the privately-owned, horseshoe-shaped north Cornish cove surrounded by 135’ cliffs.
Gates open at 6.30pm with support acts performing from 7pm and Show of Hands taking to the stage at 9pm. Catering for every taste, beach outlets will serve everything from paella and burgers to Cornish pasties.
Tickets for the midsummer gig, price £15, are available from (01637) 872444
