“How did you manage to illuminate the bodies against the black background with such beautiful light?

I shot the performers on bluescreen, then used motion tracking and stabilization to animate and augment their natural movements.”

Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris performing live during their tour ‘All the roadrunning’. From the DVD ‘Real Live Roadrunning’

“Mr Knopfler’s tribute to the victims of 9/11 based on an article by Ian Mckeown detailing some of the real last words of the victims in texts and phone calls ..” (wiih thanks yet again to Steve Coombs… ) Incredibly moving, impressively held together musically.

Proud Camden = MANCHESTER: SO MUCH TO ANSWER FOR = still open to the public today, Monday 23 rd

See on Scoop.itLondon Life

This retrospective of The Smiths from award-winning photographer Kevin Cummins is still open ! I popped in to see it ..better late than never.. it’s a small but perfectly formed exhibition , well worth a look if you are in the area. The Smiths captured in their heyday! And Proud Camden is a great elongated space, stretching itself as it does, through the Stables Market..very chilled! Friendly too.

What’s playing on the London turntable?

See on Scoop.itLondon Life

Alela Diane was @ Village Underground last October and it was an incredible evening. I listen to her often .. strange subject matter sometimes but she still manages to soothe me and appeals strongly to my backwoodsy alter ego!  on the turntable! enjoy!

Oh! and do check out Village Underground. Great venue.
